Welcome To The Wirebender

Any new venture is inherently scary.  The fear of the unknown can be handled in two ways...let it paralyze you and set yourself up to fail or attack the unknown as an adventure.  I am choosing to attack and I am looking forward to the adventure.

I have been in the business world my entire career.  Starting a business does not scare me in the least.  I am pretty sure I was born to be an entrepreneur.  I have run many successful businesses and a few not so successful, but the common factor in all of my previous experience is that I felt that I was the best in my field and that by starting a new business, I was taking my experience to the next level.

Starting a jewelry business is totally different in my opinion, in that, you start your business not knowing exactly where your place is in the market.  I try to compare myself with others who do things similarly, but no one does it exactly like me.  How do you place a value on your work?  This variable is not one that I was taught in business school.

While I figure this variable out and learn the myriad of other lessons that I am sure I don't even realize I have to learn, I hope to use this blog as a way of starting conversations, perhaps only in my own mind, to help me navigate through the new mine field I have chosen to tip toe through.

Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
